The competency route is genuinely quicker for people who already know the material from work, which is most of the reason to choose it. The failure mode is uniform: a comfortable start, a slow middle, and then six assessments outstanding with a fortnight of term remaining.
Nothing about that is an ability problem. It is a sequencing problem, and the fix is boring. There is also a deadline nobody publishes. Across ten units, your capstone piece has a genuine deadline near the eighth, since the ninth exists for revision and the tenth for handing in. Students who plan to the printed date discover their real working deadline passed a fortnight earlier, which is entirely avoidable by dating the whole term at the start.
Nursing documentation, alongside rather than after
Hour logs, preceptor forms and reflections all run on their own clock and none of them respond to your coursework being under control. A placement that refuses to materialise can stall an otherwise entirely healthy term.
So paperwork stays current week by week instead of being reconstructed at the close, while site and contract work moves through the placement desk while the courseroom continues. My shifts clash with the seminar. Does that cost me?
Nothing, provided the alternate assignment is completed properly and on time, and that is the part students underestimate. It is graded as real work rather than treated as a box to tick. Can somebody attend the seminar as me?
No. Whatever happens in real time under your own name belongs to you, seminars and presentations and invigilated papers equally. Impersonation is the fastest available way to end a degree and no reasonable service offers it. The work goes instead into ensuring an absence from one session leaves nothing permanently lost.
How should I pace ExcelTrack?
