CASES, SIMS & NUMBERS

MBA coursework help.

Three things decide an online MBA, and none of them is essay writing: whether your simulation holds a position, whether your cases commit to a decision, and whether the finance course goes badly. All three respond to preparation.

The simulation is graded twice

Once on your results, and once on the reflective analysis you write at the end explaining what you did and why. Students focus entirely on the first and are ambushed by the second, arriving at the write-up with a set of outcomes and no account of the reasoning that produced them.

So a decision log runs from round one: what was chosen, what the alternative was, and what you expected to happen. It takes two minutes a round and it is the entire raw material of the final analysis. It also improves the play, because a position you have written down is one you are considerably less likely to abandon in round four for no reason.

A case wants a decision, not a survey

Marks vanish from case work most often when a student renders the scenario elegantly and then suggests the board weigh up a handful of possibilities. Nobody is grading your comprehension. They are grading whether you can choose under uncertainty and defend the choice against the ones you rejected.

So case work here commits. One recommendation stated early, the alternatives named and dismissed with reasons, and the numbers the case gave you actually used. Strategy unsupported by arithmetic reads as preference rather than analysis. And the implementation and risk sections almost everybody omits are usually holding whatever marks are left.

The quantitative courses are where people stall

Strategy and marketing sit easily with most people on these programs. Accounting, finance and statistics are where the wall appears. Nothing unusual in that, and it nearly always reflects how the subject was taught rather than what you are capable of.

Work of that kind is routed to somebody who trained in the subject itself, not a generalist learning it beside you, and every step is left visible so that you could walk a third party through the method. Coaching tends to be the wiser spend on these particular courses, since a hole in your finance covered over once will open again across the following two. Heavier statistical work sits with the statistics side.

Teams, and protecting your own mark

Every online MBA is full of group deliverables and every one contains somebody who stops answering. It is the complaint we hear most from business students, and the grade is shared as though everybody contributed equally.

Whatever is yours to write gets completed ahead of time so that it exists no matter what. From there the task is building a record: an unpublished cut-off a few days before the official one, the collaborative document's history untouched, and your instructor informed at a point where they retain options. Where a group has truly fallen apart we can build the entire submission, and the complete approach is set out here.

1

Send the course

The course, the week, and whether the trouble is a simulation, a case or the numbers. Priced in two hours.

2

Agree the position

For simulations and cases you see the strategy or the recommendation before it is written up.

3

Delivered early

Early enough to read properly, and on group work early enough that you were demonstrably first to deliver.

Questions people actually ask.

Will you actually run the simulation rounds?

Yes, and the decision log is what makes it work. You settle on an approach ahead of the opening round and each later move defers to it, with brief reasoning captured while the rounds unfold. That log is not administrative: it becomes the reflective analysis the course grades at the end, which improvised play leaves you nothing to write.

How do I get a case analysis to score?

Committing to one course of action in the opening paragraph, naming the alternatives, and saying specifically why each was rejected. Then using the numbers the case supplied rather than describing them. Papers that lay out possibilities and invite the leadership team to consider them shed marks in practically every program, since what is being assessed is your willingness to choose.

I am fine at strategy and drowning in finance.

A frequent split, and the remedy is bringing in somebody else rather than persevering with the same person. Accounting and finance work is handled by people with the relevant background, with every step shown so you can follow the logic. For these subjects coaching is often the smarter buy, since the gap otherwise reappears in later courses.

Half my group has vanished. What now?

Move today rather than at the deadline. Your own portion is completed immediately so that it survives alone, the group is handed a deadline of its own well before the official one, and the file's history accumulates a record nobody has to argue about. Say something to faculty while they can still change the outcome.

Have your people used these simulation tools?

The platforms these programs typically use, yes, although the interface counts for far less than the discipline of not abandoning a position mid-sequence. Tell us which one your course runs on, attach the decision sheet and the marking scheme, and the reply states plainly whether anybody here has real experience of it.
