Milestones are instalments, not assignments
The numbering makes them look like separate tasks arriving at intervals. What they really are is one document submitted in pieces, so that somebody can steer you off a wrong heading at the point where steering costs almost nothing.
Miss the connection and you produce four perfectly respectable instalments that will not fit together when the deadline arrives, each having been written toward its own prompt instead of toward the document it feeds. Built as one continuous piece from module one, the final wants tidying rather than saving, and that gap accounts for most of the grade.

The journals are small, constant and forgettable
Almost nobody plans for these. A journal or reflection most weeks, worth very little individually, easy to postpone and easy to forget entirely until a gradebook shows four zeros where four short entries should be.
The damage is cumulative rather than dramatic, which is exactly why it goes unnoticed. Kept current week by week they cost almost nothing. Reconstructed at the end of a term they are both painful and obviously reconstructed, because a reflection written eight weeks late reads nothing like one written in the week it describes. Keeping them current is part of the weekly layer.
MBA simulations reward consistency
A multi-round simulation behaves unlike anything else on the syllabus: where you stand late in the game is purely the accumulated result of every earlier decision. Skip a round, or choose inconsistently at the start, and the remainder of the term goes on running a business you never meant to build.
A position is therefore fixed early and then defended, every round's choices following from it, with a running note of why each was made. That note carries as much weight as your final numbers, since the course almost certainly marks a reflective write-up and improvisation leaves nothing sensible to reflect on. Eight weeks with a sequential spine
Compressed terms punish a bad fortnight anyway, and the milestone chain makes it worse: you cannot simply work on everything in parallel to catch up, because module six's instalment genuinely assumes module four's exists.
Which means recovery has an order, and it is counterintuitive. Whatever failed first is what you mend first, however much sooner the next thing falls due, because every later piece is resting on it. Patching the current milestone over a faulty foundation only moves the problem a fortnight forward. Should I really read the final project rubric in module one?
Ten minutes there returns more than anything else you could spend them on. Each instalment belongs to that final document, so understanding how the finished thing gets judged lets you aim every piece properly from module one instead of discovering the target in week seven.
My milestone two came back badly. Does that sink the final?
Only when the comments go unread, and that is precisely why early feedback is worth so much. Nothing is finished yet, so redirecting costs almost nothing. Treat what your instructor wrote as a set of instructions for the following instalment, act on each one visibly, and put a narrow question back to them about anything ambiguous.
I have forgotten several journals. How much does that cost?
Individually very little, cumulatively more than students expect, and the entries are usually still recoverable. Send the course and the list of what is outstanding. Where a late reflection is permitted it gets written properly rather than obviously backdated, and the weekly habit is restarted so the same gap does not reopen.
Can you handle the simulation rounds?
Yes, and consistency is what makes it work. You commit to an approach before round one and every subsequent choice answers to it, with a brief log recording the thinking behind each. That record carries as much weight as the results, since the course almost certainly grades a reflective analysis where improvised play leaves nothing to say.
